Chiang Mai, Ancient Culture & Heritage
Introduction
Despite being one of the largest cities in Thailand and a tourist destination, Chiang Mai has managed to retain much of its ancient culture and heritage. Visitors come to Chiang Mai as much for its small-town hospitality and local charm as for its Lanna temples, night markets, and nature adventures. Here you can shop for handcrafted artisan products, trek through verdant forests on an elephant’s back, experience local festivals, and much more.
TEFL Training Center – Chiang Mai
Our training center is located on Huay Kaew Rd close to central Chiang Mai, the night markets, restaurants, bars, and, other amenities. We limit classes to a maximum of 16 trainees, ensuring adequate time can be spent with each trainee throughout the course.
During the 4-week course, evenings and weekends are usually free, so you’ll have plenty of time to explore the local culture, jungles, mountains, and all the attractions that Chiang Mai has to offer. You will, however, have some homework assignments to complete.
The 4-Week TEFL Course In Chiang Mai
Our 4-week TEFL course is fully accredited and certified to meet international standards. The training involves up to 6-hours of observed teaching practice and 120-hours of classroom instruction. You will acquire the practical skills to teach English as a foreign language in any country around the world.
Our program lts you focus on the more practical aspects of the TEFL, such as teaching practice with real Thai students in a local government school or orphanage. This is the experience of a lifetime! You will also have plenty of free time to chill out and embrace the amazing heritage of this ancient city.
Course Start Dates
Courses run virtually every month from January to December each year. We will confirm the exact dates when booking. You may change your start date after booking by giving just 30 days notice.
Accommodation
Rooms usually cost around USD$500-$700 for the month. There is no shortage of long stay apartments in Thailand costing anywhere from USD$400 per month for a studio room to $700 per month for a standard 1-bedroom apartment.
You can expect comfortable, private accommodation with cable TV, refrigerator, air-conditioning, a comfortable bed, a bathroom, and usually WiFi Internet. Most hotels are close to the shops, ATM’s, nightlife and other amenities. Once you confirm your place on the course, our staff will arrange to book your accommodation.

Getting Here and Visas
Airport pickup and transfer is included in the Advanced package. We recommend you arrive in Thailand at least 2-days prior to the course start date. There will be a meet & greet on the Sunday evening before the course starts on the Monday.
Students planning to stay in Thailand longer than 4-weeks should apply for a 60-day tourist visa, which must be obtained before you arrive in Thailand. Once you secure a job placement, your employer is responsible for sponsoring you for a Business (NIB) visa and then a work permit. If you plan to stay for 4-weeks or less, you can simply arrive without any visa and you still get a 30-day arrival stamp at any main airport in Thailand. Check with your local Thai consulate before travelling.
